Men's Issues
When engaging in therapy with men I initially work to help them overcome the stereotype that talking about one's problems is for weaklings, and encourage talking about experiences and concerns as a means of better understanding onself. This leads to becoming less burdened by anger, depression, anxiety, shame and other problems.
I firmly believe that there is strength and humility in being aware of one's shortcomings and being willing to improve onself. I view the act of seeking help in therapy as an act of strength, as no man is an island, and I believe that it is wise to ask for help when in need. there is no need for anyone to suffer alone when help is available.
